Jon Von Panther are celebrating a CD release on Wednesday, June 8th at the Drunken Unicorn

Jon Von Panther are having a CD release show at The Drunken Unicorn on Wednesday, June 8th.

Jon Von Panther was born from the cascading flow of an Appalachian Mountain waterfall. Once a simple man, he rose from the water with a different perspective on the world around him. Jon Von Panther embraced the surrounding evil, following Death in his shadows. This sinister ego developed into a musical collaboration among like-minded folk and now is the band, JVP.

The Breezes from Montreal are performing second.

The Breezes are Danny Leznoff, Adam Feingold (Golden Isles’ lead singer), James Benjamin (former Lovely Feathers drummer), and Matty Oppenheimer Junior. The Breezes have played shows with The Lovely Feathers, Duchess Says, A Sunny Day In Glasgow, Golden Isles, and She Keeps Bees amongst others. In 2010, the band released a debut EP that was called by the Montreal Mirror “Light, Summery yet Musically rich… 7.5/10” as well as 3 free Summer EP’s via their Wordpress blog and an experimental LP called 'Update My High' with reputed Montreal online label ‘Villa Villa Nola’. As well, the band launched their website www.thebreezes.ca and released a music video for single ‘Count to 11’ which was aired at Midnight on New Years Eve on 64 MHZ network affiliates in the US and continues to air in syndication across the US. Most recently, the Montreal Mirror named The Breezes 2011 Noisemakers of the Year and the band is eager to live up to the challenge. In 2011 The Breezes will release a full length album, to be recorded at Breakglass Studio with producer Jace Lasek of the Besnard Lakes. The band will also tour Ontario and the US, while releasing a number of additional music videos, and more free online goodies!
