Pilgrim are performing before Spirit Caravan.

"PILGRIM is a massive slab of slow-burning, sludgy doom metal. This is true doom metal, not the hybrid bile that so many bands are passing off as doom these days. The monster riffs will bludgeon you senseless and shake you to the core, but you'll keep coming back from more, willingly and repeatedly."

MTN ISL are starting the show.

MTN ISL know what I’m talking about. The band’s debut EP, God Become Animal, is a seething mass of lacerating grooves and interlocking rhythms that’s equal parts wiry Midwestern math rock and classic Dischord era audio abuse.

Darsombra - Monday, March 3rd at The Eyedrum

Darsombra is appearing at The Eyedrum on Monday, March 3rd.

Transcendental audio/visual rock duo Darsombra have packed and prepared their space shuttle for launch, readying themselves for journey to inner space. Brian Daniloski (a veteran of metal bands Meatjack and Trephine), pilots, navigates, and controls the sound of Darsombra, alternating between searing guitar riffs, leads, loops, mammoth vocal swells, and soundscapes. He takes one part metal, one part psychedelic rock, one part experimental, and dashes of prog, glam, and krautrock, to soundtrack the voyage. Filmmaker Ann Everton stewards us along the way by projecting her kinetic, psychotropic videos specifically composed to Daniloski's music, engulfing the audience within the trip.

Blair Crimmins And The Hookers MARDI GRAS party at The Drunken Unicorn - Saturday, March 1st, 2014

Saturday, March 1st is a MARDI GRAS party featuring

Blair Crimmins & The Hookers here at The Drunken Unicorn.

Best Songwriter 2013 ”Crimmins has never been more refined than on this year’s Sing-A-Longs CD. If he caters to any genre, it’s one that’s entirely his own, and that’s something a lot of guys with pens and guitars either don’t know how to do, or don’t have the guts to do.” – Creative Loafing

Count M'Butu & The Mar-Tans are starting the party.

While in Africa, the Count not only learned more about playing the drums but he also learned the art of drum making. It was there that he became enthralled with the wide array of percussion instruments. And the drum became his instrument of choice. He also performed in various African ballets, which tell the history of Africa through song and dance.

The Mar-Tans are a group of seasoned pros. The band was founded by keyboardist/singer Matt Wauchope, Terrence Prather on congas, and Melvin Zachery on bass. They were the long time rhythm section of Sean Costello.
