"A strong women's song, kompjúterek, electronic drums, the classic taste fafúvósok tax, recorded sounds and voices found all of this, a whole soundscape from an unusual surreal, atmoszszférát dalinak gives the Anez orchestra. The creed of music, and they sound, noise, both packages to them, it is not ugly or beautiful…… they are classified with alternative electronically, although this classification is determined by multiple redefine. Music attitűdjük, open, experimental, up to a very bizarre levels."
Its a long story, but here is the short of it. Awesome happened a while back, then disrepair and guilt. Soon hope came around, along with some dollar bills and life is now how it should be, minus some more dollar bills.
Once upon a time [March of 2012], friends and protagonists of a like-minded cause, Janey Criss and Jessi Monroe, stole three days from their lives of post-wizardry and fashioning, of sorts, in order to conduct a musical writing experiment. The result was an assuming product for the formulaic concoction at hand: boisterous synths, curious minors, acoustic elements, playful rhythms and thick, resolute vocals. Shortly following the experiment, Alec Yeager was invited to add thoughtful battery to the equation. Logistics were discussed. And VYIE became.
Peelander-Z are RETURNING to The Drunken Unicorn on Friday, November 9th, 2012.
At their live show, you'll see the band in colorful costumes reminiscent of Japanese Animation, though they describe their outfit as their skin. Their shows guarantee intense audience participation and chance to exercise with the band. "Do human bowling with us. Do limbo dancing with us. Do karaoke competition with us. Hit our cowbell with us," says Yellow. " Don't be shy, give us your smile! We can beat your stress! See you at our show!"
Electric Eel Shock are performing before Peelander-Z.
Electric Eel Shock are a glorious celebration of Classic Rock, Punk and Metal. A true power trio from the time before rock became fractured into a diverse multitude of sub-genres and we were all still one big happy Rock & Roll family.
“Live music has so much potential for greatness,” expresses HRVRD vocalist Jesse Clasen. “To me, a studio recording is a snapshot of where a song is at that moment, and it should always continue to evolve and take on new perspectives. Live performances are opportunities to share something unique and beautiful with your audience…I’ve always admired the artists that let their songs blossom into something new and exciting even after they’ve been recorded.”
Junior Astronomers will be the second performer of the evening.
Junior Astronomers. A consistency in disorder breathes into existence a quintet bound to the loud and impulsive. Gritty and jangled on some occasions, then mangled and diverting in others. The only thing planned is the outburst itself.
"an unsigned, unsung gem in Charlotte’s indie rock scene—has an offbeat, alternative sound that doesn’t skimp on electric guitar handiwork" - ANNIE MONJAR, Charlotte Magazine
Fang Island will be performing before Anamanaguchi.
"Honest, life-affirming and infectious, and it's that rare concentration of directness and simplicity that makes Fang Island so uniquely and wonderfully inclusive." Best New Music -- Pitchfork
"Fang Island are simply killer fun, a proper gang who sing collectively and pummel their guitars without recourse to errant soloing." Four Stars -- MOJO
Sick/Sea are performing at The Drunken Unicorn on Wednesday, October 31st, 2012.
Imagine a sequestered town at the southern brink of the Lone Star State whose townsfolk claim as much cultural heritage from the bordering country as they do from their own. A place that seems contradictory being such a small town in the largest of U.S. states. It is in this setting that the emerging band, Sick/Sea finds its roots. While their hometown might be small, the music from the Magic Valley is anything but little. The tight-knit music community found there is making waves that are flowing out past the edges of Texas, spilling into the south at large. Several critically acclaimed groups hail from the area and Sick/Sea is a part of the growing current.
The current musical climate is overrun with uninspired trends and predictable structures. Hoping to fill this void, Native Suns has emerged from Atlanta, GA with an energetic new sound nurtured in the heat of the deep South. Brought together through a mutual yearning for a return to honest music, this ambient rock five-piece features members of Of Machines (Rise Records) and I Create.

A Place To Bury Strangers will be headlining The Drunken Unicorn on Tuesday, October 30th, 2012.
A Place To Bury Strangers have often been called "the loudest band in New York". This may very well be the case, but unlike much so-called "loud" rock and roll that's out there, APTBS is not loud simply for the sake of it. The sonically overdriven sound they've accomplished is no clumsy accident, but a carefully cultivated and well-maintained entity all its own, fostered by an unbridled passion that's clearly evident in every live show they play and each recording they make. A Place To Bury Strangers does not so much play songs as allow them to pour out. They are songs about longing, heartbreak and confusion played extremely well and at a passionately loud volume.
Bleeding Rainbow will be performing before A Place To Bury Strangers.
Nevermind the constant threat of a cease and desist letter, when Carrie Brownstein tells you that your band name is weak, you change it. But it isn't as simple as a name change for Philadelphia's minimal noise pop duo Reading Rainbow, significant line up additions facilitated the adoption of a new moniker. So...drum roll please...as we reintroduce Philadelphia's Bleeding Rainbow, now a full-blown, Brownstein-approved, rock quartet. The name better represents the band's evolving sound and is all around more badass and trippy as sh*t. The founding members, Sarah Everton, who moved from drums to bass to give her vocals a better chance to shine, and vocalist/guitarist Rob Garcia are now joined by Al Creedon on lead guitar and drummer Greg Frantz.
"Atlanta's Entertainment craft a postpunk spin on gothic music the way god and nature intended... It’s like ten-ton columns of sleek black marble, distorto glam-dub riot..." - Matthew Moyer / Movement Magazine
Death Grips at Space 2 at The Sound Table on Sunday, October 28th.
"Death Grips exist within a cloud of hyperbole, from the maximized minimalism of their savage beats and the extreme unrest of their barked lyrics to the escalating gauntlet of their album covers and their blooming disregard of industry standards. To summarize, NO LOVE DEEP WEB-- a record ostensibly paid for by a label owned by one of the biggest companies in the world but released for free on the Internet-- features an erect penis inked with the title in sloppy Sharpie script on its cover. One of its most undeniable hooks reads, "She shoot pussy through your chest, you die." Everything about this trio seems extreme." - Pitchfork
Qurious is the surprising collaboration between a hip-hip producer/sample collagist and a vocal texturist/muli-instumentalist. Since winter 2009, the pair has taken up casting a sonic net over the patrons of the Atlanta and Athens music scenes.
Joseph Vincent will be headlining The Drunken Unicorn on Saturday, October 27th, 2012.

Often referred to as "the cute one" and "the older brother," Josh & Jacob Fu have been playing together... well... since they were born. Whether is was playing make believe, video games, or music – there has always been a unique dynamic between the two.
The Front Bottoms are performing at The Drunken Unicorn on Thursday, October 25th, 2012.
What can we say about The Front Bottoms? We know we love them: a punk band that uses acoustic guitar, indie-rock dance grooves, Springsteen-y keyboard lines (this they might deny). It’s hook-filled… it’s anthemic… it’s confessional. Maybe Joni Mitchell by way of Green Day? They must have heard some Replacements along the way, and it seems like what Jonathan Richman and the Modern Lovers did for the Boston suburbs these guys are doing for Bergen County, NJ. But they still leave us scratching our heads. Just what the hell have the Front Bottoms alchemized?
Noel Stephen & The Darlings will be releasing a "Are We Breaking Up?" here on Saturday, October 20th, 2012
Noel Stephen & The Darlings "play a charmingly whimsical kind of chamber pop in the vein of Rufus Wainwright and Sondre Lerche." - Gabe Vodicka / Creative Loafing Atlanta
Amidst bellows of whales and the smell of diesel and fish a small musical project was born. In the summer of 2008 Patrick Morales took a contract as a marine biologist working on commercial fishing vessels. While working on two different boats The Viking and The Progress he wrote a wealth of new material with a roughly similar theme. Songs about people facing decisions regarding death, love and their last days on earth. And in honor of the boats that helped inspire the stories he chose to name the project The Viking Progress.
The Lighthouse & The Whaler will be performing at The Drunken Unicorn on Friday, October 19th, 2012.
The Lighthouse and the Whaler plays indie-folk-pop and does not believe that genre labels tell you anything you need to know about a band. It has nevertheless caught the attention of MTV, Fuse, FILTER, Spinner, Under the Radar and other media outlets that cater to indie-folk-pop music fans.
Ewert & The Two Dragons will be performing before The Lighthouse & The Whaler.
Ewert and The Two Dragons is an Estonian indie-rock band. The line-up consists of vocalist Ewert Sundja, guitarist Erki Pärnoja, drummer Kristjan Kallas, and bassist Ivo Etti. Beginning in 2008 as the solo endeavor of Addison Morarre, Atlanta-based Mountain Lion has experienced constant change and consequent growth on the path to its current and most matured state.
