Verge of Bliss, an Atlanta based rock and roll power trio, merges an array of influences to create a rather unique sound. The songs range from powerful psychedelic ballads to drum-charged anthems. Influences range from The Kills, King Crimson, Led Zeppelin, The Smashing Pumpkins and Queens of the Stone Age.

"DC-based troubadour Alex Vans creates a unique, shape-shifting blend of rock, folk and pop. His recent self-titled EP is lived in, warm and yet minimalistic, shaped by the hands of a master song-craftsman and high-burnished by the lungs of one of the Capital's most promising young vocalists." - -Blake Warenik, July 2010

"Physically based in the bizarro world that is Atlanta, Georgia, and musically rooted in virtually anything and everything, Waking the Bates refuse to pin themselves down to one simplistic genre. While so many bands that don’t fit a specific mold are quick to state that they have a little something for everyone, Waking the Bates really does have something for every listener who enjoys soaring melodies, clever songwriting devices, and dynamics (all of which have been recently added to the musical endangered species list)." - Matt Donald
