Tennis is an American indie pop band from Denver made up of husband-and-wife duo Alaina Moore and Patrick Riley. During first tour James Barone joined the band on drums. The couple met each other while studying philosophy in college. They started the band after they got back from a 7 month sailing expedition down the Eastern Atlantic Seaboard. They took their name from a joke about Patrick Riley playing tennis in college.

The angular, intricate, and intelligent compositions of Hospitality signal a sophisticated new pop voice. Singer Amber Papini’s idiosyncratic songwriting and incisive lyrics coupled with the band’s rich arrangements on its self-titled debut explore youth, New York, and the bittersweet commingling of past and present in a way that feels just right, right now.

"...the mathmania of Battles, the gloss'n'grandeur of The Killers, and the calamitous quiver of Arcade Fire... Young Empires have consummately summated this generation's achievements in Rock.
