Andrew & the Disapyramids are starting the show.

“Hop on in, the water’s fine!” Surfer girls, Beach Blanket Bingo, hot rods, and twist contests. This is the scene Andrew and The Disapyramids have been known to bring to a party. "The 'Mids" are young, hungry, and love to incite a good party. These kids attack the music the right way; staying true to the period with garage-like intensity.

GG King - Thursday, February 13th at The Drunken Unicorn

GG King are appearing at The Drunken Unicorn on Thursday, February 13th, 2014.

When the Carbonas died, Atlanta wept. Mothers and children, left orphaned by the deceased, wandered the streets with tears streaming mottled faces. Thankfully, ex-frontman Greg "GG" King wasted little time in yanking up his knickers and pursuing new noise. He wrote a series of tunes not unlike those he contributed to the Carbonas - that winning mix of hyperstrummed '70s Europunk and brawny stateside r'n'r pummel intact - and amassed a crew of friends and former bandmates to help him flesh out the din. He released a handful of solid teaser singles, played a number of good shows. He reasserted himself as one of Atlanta's greatest exports.

SOLD OUT! - The Black Lips - Tuesday, December 31st at The Drunken Unicorn

The Black Lips are appearing at The Drunken Unicorn on Tuesday, December 31st, 2013 for a SOLD OUT performance.

What do you do when you're sixteen and in deep shit? You’re looking out at the world from the strip-mall and the detention hall, from the basement and the cul-de-sac and it just looks like there is a wall around you. Everybody tells you and your friends that you’re going nowhere, that your lives are already ruined. What the fuck do you do?.

Subsonics are performing first.

At long last, SUBSONICS have descended again upon the denizens of the steamy rock’n’roll jungle with their first album in five years, "In the Black Spot" (Slovenly Recordings 702-112)! Subsonics have been called the "Best band in Atlanta" by fellow Georgians BLACK LIPS and for good reason: previous works by this beatnik, noir-punk careen machine have left indelible marks, or black spots if you will, on the psyche of big-bam-boom-shang-a-lang rockers the world over during their nearly two-decade tenure.
